This is the shocking moment of explosive violence that left one man dead and his girlfriend injured when two men, one of whom was a kickboxer, bumped into each other in a supermarket aisle.

Victim Semih Kenan Kose was out shopping with girlfriend Sibel Kabadayi when the incident occurred at a store in Izmir, Turkey.

As they walked around the supermarket, Semih accidentally bumped shoulders with a kickboxer named Sercan Bavkir, and the two quickly began to argue.

The boxer, who was in the supermarket together with his two brothers, got into an argument with Semih whose girlfriend who also joined in the row.

Within seconds, it turned into a physical fight with Semih against the other three who claimed that they were forced to defend themselves after Semih attacked them with a bottle.

Bavkir claimed in order to defend himself he pulled out a pocket knife and CCTV footage shows all of them brawling and knocking down items from store shelves as staff desperately tried to separate them.

But the group continued fighting until Semih eventually ended up on the floor and bleeding from a stab wound which he received during the struggle.

Staff then carried him outside, and Kose can be seen lying on the ground at the entrance of the supermarket with his girlfriend cradling him as they remained there waiting for medical assistance.

He was taken to a local hospital and was later declared dead. His girlfriend, Kabadayi, was treated for injures also received in the altercation and has since been discharged.

Sercan Bavkir and his brothers, Serkan Bavkir and Taylan Bavkir, were all arrested.

During the investigation, Sercan reportedly expressed remorse for the incident, but denied being the cause of the incident. He has denied deliberately stabbing the man, saying that the victim had fallen on the knife blade and injured himself.

Bavkir told police: “I was texting on my phone at that time. Someone behind me pushed me with their hand.

“Then the same person took a defensive stance and started swearing at me aggressively. He attacked me, punching my nose.

“He and the woman with him were struggling to stand. They were probably drunk.”

Bavkir also claimed the woman allegedly said she works for the local police and threatened him.

He claimed she then picked up glass bottles and threw them at the brothers, and one of them allegedly cut his foot on the broken shards.

That was when Bavkir claimed he took out the small pocket knife that would fatally wound the victim.

His brothers reportedly supported the claims.

The investigation is ongoing.
