This is the terrifying moment a dad runs towards his blazing car to save his daughter as it is engulfed by fire at a petrol station in Turkey.
Footage of the rescue was caught on security CCTV at the service station in Erzincan when the car suddenly burst into flames.
The footage shows dad Lokman Yeniceri talking to a petrol pump attendant as he fills the car.
As Yeniceri bends over and seems to touch the petrol cap, flames suddenly shoot from the petrol tank and explode into the air.
Both Yeniceri and the garage worker leap back as the flames shoot higher and the attendant flees with his jacket on fire.
Then Yeniceri sprints around the front of the car and pulls his daughter from the front passenger seat as they run for cover.
Finally, a garage worker puts out the blaze with a fire extinguisher, and the footage ends.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire, according to local media.
Social media users seemed mystified by the blaze.
But one ‘tamer_ozdemir’ said: “It might be because of static electricity.”
