Turkey has decided to block access to OnlyFans, it emerged, after deciding that the content was ‘immoral’.

A complaint was filed with the Presidential Communication Center (CIMER) to shut down OnlyFans, with users in the country and local media reporting that they get an error when trying to access the site.

And now gorgeous 24-year-old model and influencer Merve Taskin, who has over 578,000 followers on Instagram alone, has slammed the decision.

Merve, who was recently cleared in court of obscenity charges over photographs shared on social media showing her wearing raunchy clothes, said: “Twitter and Instagram are also getting paid subscription features. According to the logic of those who complained, Twitter and Instagram should also be banned in Turkey, then.

“One by one, they will claim immorality and close down all social media, and you will live in this simulation you have created.”

The influencer, who made international headlines after showing up to court in a raunchy outfit and who was famously photographed hugging a giant penis in the Sex Museum in Amsterdam in 2020, also said: “I and people like me will watch the lives of you bigoted people in different countries of the world.”

And pretty blonde Turkish influencer Gizem Bagdacicek, who has over 276,000 followers on Instagram, said: “You still think you’re going to regulate morality, order, etc. with bans. Whatever you push, that side gets stronger.”

The complaint submitted to CIMER reportedly included the following statement: “There is a social media platform called OnlyFans, which has recently started to become widespread in our country and its use is encouraged. On this platform, users sell their pornographic images and videos to their subscribers for money and earn serious money with this immoral act.

“So much so that, according to the information shared by its users with the public, some users earn more than USD 10,000 [GBP 7,960] per month from pornographic posts on this platform.

“Normally, making money with such simple and disgusting methods is only a concern of the moral standards of the users of such platforms. However, the main gravity of this and similar platforms is that they encourage making money with pornography and seriously affect the young audience, especially with the high returns it provides.

“Recently, users of this platform have been posting on the social media platform called Twitter, stating that they get easy and high returns by sharing pornographic content and that they recommend it to everyone.

“As a result of these shares, it is observed by the public that the number of people producing pornographic content on the OnlyFans platform has increased significantly. In the end, some of the concept accounts on this disgusting platform have started to produce pornographic content with their parents to earn more money.

“The fluctuating situation in our country’s economy affects society and especially the youth badly, and many people resort to bad ways to earn easy money. Mass promotion of the immoral platform OnlyFans encourages society to make easy money with immoral methods.

“At this point, it is obvious that the platform named OnlyFans poses a serious threat to public morality and the Turkish family structure. If drastic measures are not taken against such platforms, public morals and the Turkish family structure will be eroded and eventually degenerate. For this reason, access to all such platforms, especially the OnlyFans platform, should be blocked.”
