This is the spectacularly scary moment a truckload of fireworks explodes on a motorway as the lorry carrying them goes up in flames.
The lorry had been driving on Turkey’s Gaziantep-Nizip motorway in Gaziantep Province, on 5th November, Bonfire Night in Britain.
Astonishing carphone footage filed by drivers caught up in the drama shows numerous explosions ripping through the truck as the blaze sets off the fireworks.
The huge display lights up the night sky showing the silhouette of the skeleton of the burned-out truck.
The driver, according to local media, managed to escape unharmed.
Firefighters put out the blaze while the police diverted traffic around the inferno.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, according to local media.
Three years ago three died and more than 70 were injured during a massive explosion at a fireworks factory in north-western Turkey.
The blast was so loud it was heard 50 kilometres away, said reports at the time.
