Sena Kardicali was put on a gruelling treatment programme after her test results apparently showed she had breast cancer.

It has now emerged that she never had cancer and bungling lab technicians had swapped her test results with another patient’s biopsy.

Sena, who is now suing the lab for TRY 2 million (GBP 60,000) is the daughter of multi-millionaire philanthropist Ibrahim Kardicali from Izmir, who was the owner and founder of a smart screw factory named Dekpax.

He made his fortune after he expanded the business and formed a partnership with the Swiss in 2008.

In 2011, he decided to retire and spend more time with his family, selling his entire factory to the Swiss.

The income from the sale was then shared with the 61 staff who had worked with him between 1997 and 2011.

Modest Kardicali, who did not even inform his workers about the gesture, had even tracked down the families of people who had died in the meantime so they could get a share.

Family lawyer Fatih Volkan told local media that the case is ready.

He said Sena had been left traumatised by the ordeal.

The investigation is ongoing.
