A gorgeous rap singer and beauty queen has been robbed after unknown crooks stole GBP 300,000 worth of jewellery from her luxurious home.
Morena Taraku, a Kosovan rap star who decided to continue her career in Turkey, was stunned when she arrived back in her posh flat in the city of Istanbul after having travelled abroad and realised that a safe where she had kept all her expensive jewellery had been stolen.
The 30-year-old’s safe reportedly contained about TRY 10 million (GBP 300,000) worth of jewellery and cash when it was nicked from her home in the Bomonti neighbourhood.
The offenders reportedly disappeared without a trace despite the flat being highly secured, claims the singer, who boasts more than 1.6 million followers on Instagram.
She said she went to the police station upon noticing what had happened to file a complaint.
Police have meanwhile initiated an investigation into the case and are currently examining security camera footage of the residence and its surroundings.
Taraku who was once named the ‘Best Pop Artist in the Balkans’ decided to move from the disputed country of Kosovo to Turkey to pursue an international music career.
She had also taken part in several beauty pageants including Miss Earth, Miss Liberty of the World, and Miss Exclusive since 2010.
