This is the horrific moment a father fires a volley of gunshots at his wife as she is holding their young child.
The explosive custody dispute erupted in a backstreet in Tripoli, Lebanon, filmed on CCTV security cameras.
In the grim footage – reported by local media on 23rd August – the pair can be seen rowing heatedly as the burka-clad mum holds the youngster to her chest.
Suddenly, the girl’s father pulls out a handgun and begins firing wildly at his wife’s legs.
He brushes aside another man who has not been identified by local media.
But as she drops the tot – believed to be around three years old – her husband keeps on firing and she flees along the road as he lets off a total of five shots.
Finally, the husband snatches up the now sobbing youngster and marches off jamming the pistol into the back pocket of his jeans.
Police are understood to searching for the gunman who went missing after fleeing with his daughter.
His wife was rushed to a hospital with gunshot wounds to her legs but police have not revealed further details or named the couple.
Local media blamed the shooting on a long-running family dispute and it is unclear where the couple’s daughter is now.
Social media users were horrified by the incident.
One ‘Mahouk Rawaa’ asked: “And the donkey next to him let him do that?”
Another ‘Rawaa Saqalla’ commented: “His heart must be blind.”
