This is the smiling face of a little lad who survived a horrific accident in which he and two pals were run over while waiting to cross a road by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run in Saudi Arabia.
The footage shows the children patiently waiting to cross the road before a first pickup truck drives past them.
Suddenly a second pickup truck, which was apparently trying to overtake the first pickup truck on the right, appears out of nowhere and knocks them flying.
The images show how one child was dealt a glancing blow and falls to the ground, while the two others are hit by the front of the vehicle.
One of the two other children is sent flying down the road and lies motionless. The third child, named in local media as Abdullah, was then run over by the pickup truck’s wheels and is also seen lying lifeless in the road.
The boy was then photographed injured but smiling and waving in hospital, after surviving the ordeal with a broken arm and multiple bruises, including trauma to his head.
The pickup truck appears to continue driving away as the footage ends after was it captured on CCTV in the Jizan region of south-western Saudi Arabia.
All three children survived the horrific and potentially fatal incident in what local media described as a miracle. The two other children have not been named.
The person filming can be heard thanking God in Arabic that the young boy, whose age was not reported, survived the harrowing incident.
It is believed that the police are investigating the incident and are attempting to track down the hit-and-run driver.
